Great prices, especially for the canvas prints. Now to find a good copy of the coat of arms.

Thanks Trey.

Here's what you need to do:

Get a copy of Form 25. Scan it into your computer, but first, set the resolution to some ridiculously high number like 2400 dpi. Then, you can put it into Photoshop and (here's the key) as you increase the dimensions, you lower the dpi.

Change it from 5"x7" (or whatever) at 2400 dpi to 18"x 24" at 300 dpi.

That way, you won't lose quality as you enlarge.

Also, I'm not sure if Form 25 still features that stupid-looking pink color instead of purple, but if I were you, I'd replace that, too.

Right now I am coloring in the black high res tiff from hq's website. I will post later if I am satisfied with the outcome. Mark, I will try it your way if I give up to aggravation.

Thanks,
John

Fortunately I could not fall asleep this morning so I went back to work on some of my side projects. After catching up on some very old Cross and crescent articles, I stumbled upon the LCA flickr album and started browsing their coat of arm's images. The tag Mike Mahoney popped up with a picture titled Coat of Arms prototype. Quick search of google led me to this:

The minutes of the LXA Graphics committee.

This is a direct link to the amazing images these artists have done on our "new" coat of arms. I feel I should point out that these were all created in vector, which for any computer graphics literate people is a lossless format. Meaning the illustrator files can be stretched to any size without losing quality.

I should probably note that these all are still prototypes, but all are coat of arms none the less. I cant decide which one I like more. Jeff Reisdorfer's 4th gen COA looks very nice IMO. I think its the white letters. Very Sharp.

Thanks for all that helped. I need to stay up late more often to get things done.

In ZAX,
John Dever
