LMAO

The biggest mistake I made was making the concept of getting to know members a bigger deal than it was. Please don't get my words wrong because I know becoming a part of a lifelong sisteRHOod is a big deal. The part that I blew out of proportion was getting to know the individual members of the chapter. It seemed odd to start talking to members out of the blue trying to get to know them. My train of thought was, "They know I'm only talking to them to join the sorority." What I didn't realize is that sorority members expect you to reach out to show your interest in the organization they represent. Speaking to members and holding conversation as an interest is not kissing up. It's a means to get to know your potential future sisters.

Just typing that makes me feel and as in "DUH!" LOL

We had one individual who was interested come to a inforamtional and at the end told some of our prospective members she was considering another organization. Now she is emailing asking when the next intake will happen.

Wrong move.

Very bad move.
I would say if somebody was overly eager to become a member.
