I don't know yet. Right now my school wants to send me and the rest of the school improvement team to a conference that is during convention. I'm going to talk to my principal when we go back on Monday and let him know that I need to know because otherwise I will be going to convention.

I JUST FOUND OUT I AM GOING ------ I AM GOING TO CONVENTION in BOSTON!!!! I AM Very excited - I just found out tonight - my advising chapter is set up to pay for one advisor to go with the president and the chapter advisor is also an international officer so that leaves an open spot - I JUMPED ON IT - I have been to state days and district a billion times but I have never been to convention.
I WOULD LOVE TO HELP set up a greek chat photo op - wouldn't it be fun to make a greek chat t-shirt and all wear them or at least some sort of noticable ribbon so that we know who we are looking at when we see another greekchat sister.
Someone set up some sort of list of which greekchat sisters will be in attendance so I will know who I am looking for!!!
Whew I am so excited and it is 3 months away.

Okay, I don't know if someone (Bri?) wants to add this to the "first post" of this thread, so it's easily accessible instead of searching through pages to find the list, but here's a start.
GCers to look for at Convention this June:
azureblue
adpideltaup
jwright25
ADPi Conniebama
ADPiAkron
polarpi (Yes, this means I'll be there - just booked my flight tonight!)
Maybe going to be there?

Updated the first post about convention with the list.
I should know today or not. I'm going to tell my principal that if he doesn't know about the conference that I cannot attend because of convention. I really like my principal but we've been talking about attending this conference as a school improvement team for over a month now and it still hasn't been done (booked).
Is anyone else noticing that us west coasters pretty much have to leave on Wednesday? I checked out airfare and everything I found getting into Boston on Thursday would place you getting in around the time you need to be at the hotel getting ready for opening banquet. Anyone know how that works with the price? I think I might have to call the sorority travel agent today and see how she would 'book' my flight so that I get in on time on Thursday (if I can go)? I'm honestly tempted to tell my principal I can't attend the conference anymore. I mean it's just retarded that after a month we don't know yet.

I'm actually going in on Tuesday - attending the "Pre-Convention worshop" on Wednesday morning, because the opening banquet is Wednesday night, right?
My flight is the absolute earliest I could arrive in Boston on any day, and I get in at 5:20 pm - so I'm waiting to hear whether or not I can use the shuttle to the hotel (as they list the shuttle stopping running there at 5 pm).

I would have the same problem. I actually called EO today and asked how that would work with the hotel (should I get to go) because I would have to leave on Tuesday otherwise I wouldn't make it on time on Wednesday. The earliest I could get in on Wednesday would be 5:05pm. Me thinks this is going to be a BIG issue with the west coasters! I was basically told that I would have to pay $150 more for the night and then if I "got" a roomate that I would be refunded $75. I told her that I would want a roomate and wouldn't mind that person coming in on Wednesday.

I'm mailing my registration in tomorrow
About the shuttle, Bri - I emailed EO, and was told that there's a "cheaper" way to get to the hotel than using a taxi - it'll drop off near the hotel, and the hotel will send a shuttle to that location. I guess I'll get more info about that when my registration's confirmed.
So excited that you're *pretty* sure you'll be there, lyrica!

I've decided to attend convention. I just want to spend the time with my sisters. I don't get to see y'all enough, and I see my coworkers every single day. LOL.
I'm so excited!

They are probably talking about the Logan Express shuttles. They pick up at each terminal at Logan and have 4 different destinations around the Boston area. I take one of the shuttles sometimes when I go to visit the family and I know they have a shuttle that goes to Peabody which is about 3 miles or so from Danvers, MA.
They cost about 11 bucks one way and 20 bucks round trip and typically run every 30 min - 1 hr from the crack of dawn till about 11 pm or so. Depending on when your flight gets in you probably could take advantage of it. Let me know if you need any other info, I've become the pro of flying into the Boston area!

No Problem! I may not be attending convention but if you guys have any questions about the city let me know! Being a Boston native and having lived there 20 yrs of my life means I've got plenty of useless knowledge about the city...well as useless as it can be when I'm on the west coast most of the year!
ETA: For those of you looking to do something on your day off I HIGHLY recommend the Boston Duck Tours. I believe it was an option on the registration form and I use to work at the Museum of Science which is one of their starting points. It's definitely a unique tour of Boston.
