She sorta has a point, albeit a very small and slim one, but a point nonetheless.
Many of the regimes or national administrations that are none too friendly to the US are propped-up by energy sales directly or indirectly tied to the US ~ lowering energy consumption lowers the cash-flow... although obviously you'd need more than one person turning off one light. However energy conservation is only half of a 'solution', because the fact that many friendly nations are also heavy energy trading partners with the US (which seems to have escaped Hillary's mind) - you need to be both energy conservative and limit trading (directly or indirectly) with those nations deemed 'hostile' to the US or it's allies.
