Focus:
As the US Supreme Court prepares to hear cases on school desegregation and decide the fate of how and when race can be used to integrate our schools, many fear this could be the end of the 1954 landmark case of Brown v. Board of Education.
This special edition of The Journal of The Center for Research on African American Women will focus on interdisciplinary issues that explore school segregation throughout the United States. Articles are sought that examine social, historical and political constructions of school segregation. Reviews of books with related foci will also be considered. Articles from all disciplines are welcome.

§ Impact of school segregation on Blacks rights and race relations
§ Desegregation as a social institution
§ Integration’s last leg?
§ Where are we now since Brown v. Board of Education?
§ No Child Left Behind
§ Legacy of Brown v. Board of Education
§ From Plessy v. Ferguson to Brown v. Board of Education
