Not too long ago my best friend set me up on a blind date that I didn't want to go on, but he talked me into it. She and I talked on the phone for a few hours, a week before our date. She wanted to go see a movie (bad place on a 1st date), so we met at the theater. This girl was so short it was insane. She was o.k. looking, very insecure, but extremely short. I was so mad at myself for letting my buddy talk me into going out with her. I'm 5'8' so I'm no giant, but I can't go out with a woman barely 5 feet.

You're a short guy. A 5 foot tall girl is perfect for you. Girls over like 5'5 or so aren't going to want a man that they can't even wear heels around. A girl being 8 inches shorter than you is a pretty good ratio.

I have a problem finding guys who are taller than me. I'm 5'9", and I LOVE to wear high heels! Problem is, guys are not much taller than me when I wear heels So a 5'8" guy should be grateful to be with a girl who is 5'.

Seriously. I'm 5'7 and wear heels almost constantly. If a guy is 5'10 or less, it really just feels awkward.

FOR REAL...."God sent you to me to be my one and only true love." WHATEVER, we'd only been together for like a week at that point and at 8 weeks he proposed. First of all, we were 17. I was NOT getting married at 17 to a guy I'd been with for 8 weeks. Man, I have the worst luck with crushes-turned-stalker, out of all my friends, it always happens to me....

I'm just special this way, but I don't like guys to be much taller than I am (which is 5'3") I'm about 5'7" in my highest heels, so 5'8" would be perfect. Man, you're just the total package all around, where do you live again???

I'm 5'3. Most of my boyfriends have been 6'1 or taller.
I like being a foot shorter than my date, honestly!

I guess my strikes also include smoking (I don't smoke anymore, so if you do don't come near me), spending more than 20% of the time looking below my neck (the only exception is if I have a stain on my shirt and you're trying to be subtle about telling me).
Hmm...guys who are total pushovers are a biggie. If the answer to every question is "Me, too" then forget it. I've worked hard to have my own mind. I don't want a guy who works hard to have my own mind.

Something just came to my attention. When women describe themselves by comparing their features to food and beverage items. For example when they say "I have cocoa colored skin with coffee colored eyes" or they say their eyes are shaped like some kind of nut or something, or I have honey colored skin or something stupid like that. I hate that. RED FLAG ALL THE WAY. That's ghetto.

Aren't you overreacting just a little? Metaphors are cool. I sometimes say I have "raven waves" or "creamy skin".
Perhaps it may be a pet peeve, but does it merit a RED FLAG? Shouldn't the term red flag be saved for true dealbreakers like "she does drugs" or "she's pressuring me to do things I do not feel comfortable with" or "she has absolutely no ambition other than to get a sugar daddy to buy her stuff"???

Nope. It's not overreacting at all. It's the small things I look for, that determine if she's right for me or if I'm right for her. Drugs are the last thing I look for. The small things put her in the friendship category way before I get to the drug use and alcohol abuse. And yes, that is a definite red flag. Now of course, if she's a druggy or a drunk, oh yeah, immediately she's done. I wouldn't even be friends with a woman like that. If she smokes weed or any kind of drug or drinks to get a buzz or drunk, she's history.
I've never heard anyone use raven waves or creamy skin. That wouldn't raise a negative flag. It's certain food and beverage comparing that raise them. "Olive" complexion would be o.k. too. It's just certain ones. Similar to the ones I mentioned above.

Granted, I do agree that he is overreacting. But at the same time, metaphors like your examples aren't cool when it comes to describing oneself. Unless maybe you're writing poetry or something creative. Even then, terms like you used are sorta corny.
