If you go to a large school I would say definitely do it. I know someone has said it already, but I can't count the number of times we cut someone because we just couldn't remember them. This happened frequently when people had the same name! I suggest this. Now don't go crazy, but the girls I remember most either a) had something in common with me b) had an unusual conversation, or c) were wearing something distinctive like their nail polish color.
I know the most frequent reason we cut someone is because they were looking around and not paying attention. The worst thing you can do is look at your watch both as a rushee and as a sister. If they are doing a skit or a song, or a pref ritual make eye contact and look interested. Would you want to hang out with someone who looked bored during your ritual? Just some thoughts......
