As someone who is a colony advisor for a new chapter, I can tell you that starting a new group is NOT easy!! And this colony has a whole international sorority behind them.

As dzsagirl said, you need to get organized and not worry about money so much. One thing I wonder is if you're eligible for any campus funding because you are a recognized student organization. I would highly recommend checking that out. This way, you can get some money (probably not tons of money, but a bit) to maybe buy some refreshments for your info sessions or such.
