No, I think he means the sound of dislocating your knee. To be honest, I've dislocated my knee a few times, but I don't remember an accompanying sound. Something about the pain distracted me from paying attention to what it sounded like.

No he means tearing a ligament and cartilage in your knee. My acl is nice and sturdy which is about the only good thing I have going in my knee.

I heard someone's ACL pop once.. or at least I heard 2 of the 3 tendons (whatever) back there pop. *shudder* Not cool.

Waking up during tooth extraction just as they pop your tooth off your jaw.

I'll never forget that one.

I feel your pain. When I got my wisdom teeth pulled, I woke up for less than a minute during the surgery. It was long enough to hear loud crack in my mouth. I found out later that the dentist had to break my tooth in half to get it out. Nearly five years later, I will never forget that sound.

That would be correct. It would probably be easier to recover from a broken leg than ligament damage, or so I've been told. Oh well, at least I should probably get some good drugs out of the deal.

The warning notes of the Emergency Broadcast System. I like to leave my TV on to nap to noise and that will invariably always wake me up. Maybe its cause I'm in South Dakota and I'm anticipating the next blizzard, but yeah....

The worst sound in the world is when some underweight soccermopped punk starts bantering about 'Southern Greeks'.
