I know everyone gives there two cents about stuff so you can take this or leave this...
Don't get them bonded together. I always only wanted to wear my rings together as well, but, quite frankly, stuff happens. Often on vacation if we are going hiking or out to a touristy area exploring, I won't take the engagement ring b/c 1) I don't want to risk losing the diamond and 2) I don't want to risk getting robbed for the diamond. Additionally, I've found some everyday things - like going grocery shopping - can be easier w/o the diamond "in the way". Just a thought!
