I just find it so completely ironic that we are now watching season 6 and yet this people come in and they think "omg I'm so good, they are immediately going to say yes". Then they get so pissed when Simon tells them the truth, that OMG they suck!
I'm sorry, if I actually made it to the audition with Simon, Paula & Randy, I would walk in expecting them to say I suck (especially Simon) and if I got something else I'd probably pass out.
One thing to remember is that the people start out with a group audition (with a different set of judges) then if they make it they move on to the audition with Simon, Paula and Randy. Also, some people can sound really good in groups. A friend of mine from high school, well she could blend really, really well, but if she did a solo, you would think nails on a chalkboard (and that is the nicest way to put it).
I mean I think I have a good voice, but I would still walk in expecting Simon to say I suck. LOL.
I'm loving the auditions in Seattle. I honestly say I love watching the bad people, but I do have to say I wish they wouldn't "carry them on" so long. I mean you can tell they aren't "AI material" in like 5 seconds.

My favorite line so far this season:
"There are troubled people here" - Paula Abdul

I agree. I liked him a lot better than her.
What the hell was up with the chick with the scary blonde hair, red lipstick, freaky mom, & no bra? I seriously think that her mom & dad must be related b/c there was just something not right with her. Ewww...
Really, last night seemed like an explosion of mutants in Seattle. Some of those people were really scary & bizarre.

I never knew that. I mean, I knew there were other judges/producers to whittle down the group, but I never thought about how it worked.

Man, these Seattle auditions make me feel embarrassed for my city! They seriously have put the biggest dorks imaginable on TV so far. I think that mother-daughter pair was faking, though...it had to be a gag. That's the only way I can explain it
I wish they would do the longer segments on singers who are either awesome or right on the edge. It really bugs me when they do it for people who disappoint the moment they sing the first note.

Here's something I noticed in Seattle...
The "cattle call" auditions, where everyone reported to initially audition, was Key Arena. But when they talked to people outside the audition room and showed them walking outside, that was the W Hotel. So, they must send the "special" people who get through the first screening on to the second location.
I think the editors went a little too far with the bad auditions in MN and Seattle. It's one thing to show clips of a lot of bad people, but they've stretched those segments out way too long. Ryan is also being really patronizing out in the hallway. It's all just a little too cruel for me.

I spotted a couple that I really liked. Rudolpho was one and then the girl who was 16 and said her Dad was an NFL player. She was good. I liked the brother and sister too. Although the brother has the better voice, he looks kind of bizarre and I don't know that he'd get many audience votes unless they help him change his look (and tone down his smile some). The sister was gorgeous and could sing well and I could see her getting more of a following over time.
I think they're too cruel also. I really only want to see the good ones and see if any of them stick in my head. I don't think they showed a lot of them who are going to Hollywood at all.
