Unless some MAJOR BREAKING NEWS happens, I have very little to do for the next 90 minutes until I leave. le sigh.

I live in Austin in a very hilly area- so I have been homebound for a couple of days now. Working from home, so not all fun and games- but it is nice to think of the end of the work day as that point when I will walk into the next room and sit down when the Everybody Loves Raymond re-runs start.

GRR. I still need to start on my World Cultures IV reading, and I have three days worth to catch up on.
I wish I was done or I wish they'd cancel tomorrow. It's freezing outside and if it gets wet, that's enough to shut Waco down.

As an aside, since I have to direct several shows beginning at 5:30 PM and ending at 11:00 PM -- why did the brain trust in "carpetland" decide to hold a mandatory meeting at 11:00 AM?

Now I wish I could be at work and wanting to go home.
Weather worsening here and it is snowing again! It was supposed to thaw out today and I was going to get out and get some work done (and get some groceries.)
Now looks like Austin will be iced in until tomorrow at the earliest- and I am down to frozen chicken, canned salmon and canned tuna.
I could use about 10 Twix bars right now.

I want to go home!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I'm tired.
These Houstonians are ridiculous. This isn't an ice storm. This is some wind and some water.

Amen for Waco, hon. I had more ice on my car than I found on my road, but hey, if it cancels school, I'm all for it!
Just so long as we don't have to go into June or anything ridiculous like that.
I just wish I had been smart enough to do my darn reading for tomorrow!

I grew up in Houston, so I know what you mean.
Austin was no better on Tuesday. Ice was just starting to form and there were over 100 accidents in one day on the roads.
In parts of Austin (like where I live) there are many steep hills that are seldom traveled, so even a tiny bit of ice can be very dangerous and you really do have to stay home- but there is little excuse for all the mayhem in Houston when things get a bit icy.

It's 9:06 EST...only 7 hours and 23 minutes left in my day! Can't wait for it to be over...
Speaking of Texas, I am leaving Ohio towards the end of February for a trip to Dallas for a Delta Gamma function and sooooo looking forward to leaving old man winter behind for a few days...I can't imagine it being icy/snowy there!!! Dude, all I am gonna say is that Jack Frost better get his act together before I arrive!
