Guess What I'm Watching??????????
Breakin' 2: Electric Bugaloo ! ! !
I love this movie. The part when Turbo falls down that flight of steps was always hilarious to me, even though it shouldn't be. I haven't seen this in years and I was surprised that it was on television.
What old movies do you wish that they would play more on television?
I want to see
Disorderlies
Krush Groove
Who's The Man?
Silver Streak
Girls Just Wanna Have Fun
The Five Heartbeats

I'm going waaaaaay back....
I wish they would play "The Defiant Ones" (Sidney Poiter) more on AMC. It would be nice if they would colorize (??) it.
Last night I watched "Guess Who's Coming to Dinner" (1967) with Sidney Poiter and Katherine Hepburn for the first time. I always knew what it was about, but never knew what a sweet movie it was.
Some more that I'd like to see?
These may not be considered old, but I wish they'd play them on movie channels (premiums):
I'm Gonna Get You Sucka
Friday
Rush Hour 1
Nothin' to Loose (Martin Lawrence)
The voice overs on USA are horrible, and I want to scream every time they say "Micki Ficki" (LLLOLLL) or "Mother Luvin" !!!!

I am waiting for "The Last Dragon" to show up on BET or USA
I loved that movie! It came out when I was still in college and it seemed like everybody at FAMU went to see it.
My favorite line is by SHONUFF "....catching bullets with his teeth..N***A PLEASE!"

ClassyLady, I love The Five Heartbeats, I had to get my on copy of the movie, so I can watch it whenever I want.
Another movie I love is Claudine. I actually saw that on the Love Stories Channel last week.
My Personal list of favorites also includes:
Cotton Comes To Harlem
Shaft
Friday Foster
Sheba Baby
Coffy
Foxy Brown
Cleopatra Jones
Get Christy Love
Sparkle
*as you may be able to tell, I'm a very big fan of the movies from the early 70's.

I looooooooove "School Daze" maybe it is because I have greekdom on the brain. Anyway, I know that stereotypes are wrong but I have always thought of myself fitting in to one group more so than others. I guess that is part of the reason why a person chooses to seek "ABC" org versus "DEF" org.
P.S. I know this mentions the whole organization thing and I hope it does'nt over step the boundaries.

The Disorderlies and Krush Grove have come on VHI a number of times.
Silver Streak has been on WGN-Chicago. (They have a superstation so others across the country can catch it., same with the Five Heartbeats.
I would keep an eye on VHI for their "Movies That Rock", you may run into "Girls Just Want to Have Fun" or any other music movies.
By the way, The Jacksons miniseries was on last night, and VHI usally runs all of the parts consecutively when they run it.
Another good place to watch is BET's Monday and Saturday movies. I saw "Cornbread, Earl and Me" ,"Sparkle" , "Blackula" and "Cooley High" there
