Ok cool. Yup it looks like it was removed. I would have loved to be a fly on the wall at that conversation.

Probably the band's first conversation to IHQ was probably "go screw fratty".

But in the end, we won.

Brother Shane Foley, I beleive is an Alum From UT-San Antonio and doing a great job at IHQ!

The good news is that it shows that the usurpers are no longer in the picture! Friggen Morons!

It is nice to see that the system still works. I looked at the page, and wouldn't you know it, there is no modified Coat of Arms there any more. Sadly though, there is one on the band's picture section. There is a bass guitar with a sticker that they created in which the coat of arms is present. This one is missing the badge, but everything else that was on the other pic is present. Seeing this, I fear that they may still "secretly" use it. Lets hope they won't though.

We can't stop all of it, but we must do what we can, what is reasonably doable, to protect our intellectual property. I doubt the band gives a damn about us; however, they do want to keep their web site up on Myspace. I suspect that Shane contacted Myspace, which in turn contacted the ban in question. Under the threat of losing the major promotion vehicle (the Myspace website) the band took down the image.

We can't do much about the posters and stickers as we will not be present to observe them, but we (Shane) did exactly hat he had to do in exactly the right way, through the appropriate channels, and we got the results that we wanted.

Someone on ebay is producing and selling posters with the name Lambda Chi Alpha at the top and depicting a pledge about to be hit with some sort of paddle. Funny, huh? The same design is also being offered for sale under the names of at least nine other fraternities.

The brother who was selling neon signs with just the three Greek letters had to become a licensed vendor (and his items approved) before he could legally sell them. I presume the entire name is also protected under copyright.

I personally find these posters offensive in that they portray our fraternity as one that condones hazing. These are not antique or vintage items, but are being newly manufactured today.

I do not see the licensed vendor logo in the listing and highly doubt that IHQ would approve such a thing even if the vendor were licensed. The seller even has the nerve to copyright them for himself!

Is this legal? If not, I would like to see these gone from ebay, if possible.
