OSU said he was to small and slow to play for them...he came to USC and ended up starting in the Outback Bowl against OSU (because our other RB was an idiot)...he was almost single handedly beating them...having the best game of his career and near the end of the game a lot of the OSU players started taking cheap shots at him (I swear one guy was literally trying to rip his head off)...I lost all respect for the OSU program that day.
Congrats to the Gators...way to bring another championship back to the SEC

2001 (my senior year) Outback Bowl. Ryan Brewer was the RB who replaced Derrick Watson.
I am happy the Gators won. SEC Teams were in 9 bowls and won at least six of them, including a BSC AND National Championship. If that don't shut nobody up, nothing will. There are just going to be a lot of haters there.
Hey USCTKE, what you think about Sidney (who is way better than overhyped Derrick anyway) going pro early?

Congratulations to the Gators. They played a better game last night and we could not handle their speed. The scoreboard showed us all that they were the better team.
To my Buckeyes:
Jimmy T. and the crew held it down all season, and did it with class, distinction and dignity. Heismann winner Troy Smith came a long away from extremely humble beginnings in Cleveland and "represents" in a fashion that goes far beyond football. Now, go on and do your thang on the next level.
Thanks for a great season,
BuckeyeNation
P.S. ....Michigan we still own you.

Last night was crazy here in Gainesville to celebrate. The streets were closed, couches (and Christmas trees) were pulled into the streets and lit on fire, fans swinging from light posts (despite being greased), people swimming in the fountains.... It's great to be a Florida Gator!!
I usually read USA Today and I was really upset and disappointed in their coverage (or lack thereof) of the gators victory. Why was there a huge article on the OSU coach but none on UF's? Why was the fact that USC will be #1 in next year's polls the cover story? So disappointing. I love how on the front it says: 5 pages of coverage, but only one article on our victory??

Simple Answer: Hate.
Who really wants to go on and on and on about how one team is gonna tear the other limb from limb because they don't stand a chance, and then have to turn right around and report how their predictions were wrong? I'm disappointed, too.

Um, do you get a different USA Today than we do in Dallas? I am counting 5 stories about the game and honoring the Gators:
"Gators Chomp Buckeyes"
"Improbables lift flawless Florida"
"Florida's freshmen are well-seasoned"
"Meyer's Gators win title with ease"
"Florida has spirited defense"

Also, I am a big Florida fan (even though I graduated from Arkansas State and Univ. of Memphis). My best friend graduated from Florida. We have season tickets and go to 3-4 games a year. We will be at the Auburn, Tennessee, and Florida State games this year.

I still dont quite know where I stand...I do wish him all the best in the NFL but Im honestly not sure that he is ready. I've heard some rumors that he family was really in need of money, if that is the case then its right for him to go, but I still dont like him saying all along that he was coming back only to jump ship after the bowl game. This could turn out to be a pretty good decision by SR if he has good workouts, but in a very deep WR draft it could turn out that he falls to the 2nd round. Sidney doesnt have a lot of speed for an NFL WR (he has good speed, which he has improved while at USC, but still not great speed for the NFL); he needs to get stronger and more physical; and he has to work on his hands, look at his clips from last year anything near him he brought down, fast forward to the Auburn game this season he goes up for three jump balls and doesnt come down with any of them, fast forward again to the Liberty Bowl against Houston again two jump balls that he did not come down with...at 6'4 with his jumping ability he is going to have to come down with those balls if he hopes to become a superstar in the NFL.
As far as how our football team will be without him, we will move on. Kenny McKinley really stepped up this season and should put up great numbers next season. Guys like Moe Brown, Jared Cook, Freddie Brown, and Mike West (catch the damn ball) are going to have to step up and I believe they will. Plus Spurrier has a pretty good class of WR coming onto campus in the fall (look for either Jason Barnes or Joseph Hills, both 6'4, to likely replace Sidney as more of a posession type of reciever; and add to that guys like Larry Freeman and hopefully Chris Culliver and Deon Lecorn and we should be set at WR for the next 4 years)

Go Gators! They played a great game last night! Plus, their win makes me feel better about UCF's appalling loss to them back in September.
