Today, MTV held the marathon with the reunion of celebrants.

What I don't get is why they're totally hyping up the season premiere on January 15th and they showed a new episode today?

Spoilers in white below:

Cher is celebrating her sweet 16 in Palm Harbor, FL (just outside of Tampa). A self-proclaimed princess, the opening scene consists of her "castle". It's a Mardi Gras/Masquerade themed party, and what surprised me most was the fact that the venue looked like it was an ordinary hall. Her mom bought her $13K earrings and she eventually got the $96K Jaguar she wanted and they had her party in a hall that looked like that? Maybe her town doesn't have fancy facilities, I don't know...but that surprised me.

According to her, people are still talking about her Bat Mitzvah, so this party had to be over the top.

Mom totally reminded me of Regina George's mom in MEAN GIRLS, especially when she totally encouraged Cher to wear the slutty dress (despite Cher's initial hesitations).

IMO, Cher wasn't as bratty and obnoxious as most of the other celebrants, but she definitely rated high in the ugly department with that honker and faux curls. And her dance routine -- MAN, she definitely wins the award for most embarassing sweet 16er EVER!

The Season 4 previews seem pretty "meh" so far.
