You know, I don't know if I realized at the time how much AXiD helped me. After I graduated though is when I really started to realize it. My first few years I went back and forth on turning in my pin and quitting but then between my Soph and Junior year attened TLC and something clicked there and I started giving my absolute all to the chapter. I served as Programs VP and being on the Exec board I think is what helped me the most. I learned from that, that you will never please everyone, I learned how to take a stand for what I believe in and most of all I learned to have confidence in front of a large group of people.
I don't think I would be who I am in life without the chapter. My fiance is a GDI and doesn't understand that in the least but I really don't know where I would be without Alpha Xi. I miss the chapter so much and am trying to find ways to get involved with the chapters near me just so I can try to help others like me.
