Another thing I would like to add to this: If you have a friend/boyfriend in a fraternity who makes a pledge give you a ride somewhere or if the fraternity makes pledges pick you up for anything, DO NOT complain about the music/temperature/the way the driver is driving. It's been awhile since I was a pledge, but I still remember how hard it was to restrain from slapping the shit out of a few girls. The pledges usually will not say anything for fear of getting balled, but they will remember who was a douche to them. Later those same pledges are going to be members and they will remember. I know of fraternities that will stop giving rides to members of certain sororities because they suck at generally being decent people to pledge drivers who are giving them a ride free of charge, not to mention, that most fraternities make pledges buy their own gas to pick girls up. It's also probably certain that that pledge doesn't want to pick you up and would rather be doing something else. So as a rule of thumb with pledge drivers. . and ALL other people who do you favors Greek related or not. . be grateful.

I want also to add to my own post. If you puke in a pledge's car you officially suck at life and will be ridiculed at the next chapter. Half of the pledges in every single pledge class have someone puke in their car and this is neither classy nor respectable. If you have any doubts as to whether you will puke, do not get into a pledge's car. Like I said earlier, these pledges are often mentally, physically, and emotionally abused and when you puke in their car, you really fuck things up for them.

Well, there's a fabulously intelligent thing to post on a message board.

Well, I will say I personally am opposed to hazing period in all forms and I've never witnessed it.
The fact that some fraternities and even sororities do is hardly a big announcement.

Many organizations would consider requiring pledges to drive drunk sorority girls around to be a form of hazing. Particularly if that interferes with study time or sleep time.
Hazing can take a lot of different forms -- it ain't just paddling and forced alcohol consumption. These days, it can even include that which is simply causing "mental discomfort."
