Oh--they are NOW an honor society. I hear their name often but didn't think "honor society" when I read the thread topic. Sure, PBK is well known but many people just throw the name around as a sign of prestige (i.e. "she's Phi Beta Kappa") without really knowing what the hell they're talking about.

(Like the people who saw my Crimson and Cream symbols on my car after I crossed and asked if I was a "Que Dog" or a Kappa.)
