My chapter sister's roommate met her BF on MySpace 2 years ago. She wasn't looking for love at that time, but she left him a message because he had a Jack Handey quote on his page that she liked. They had online convo for about a month before they finally met in person. She brought me along as a safety that night just in case. He ended up having very cute friends.
They got engaged at Thanksgiving this year.

The same thing happened to a friend of mine! Crazy how things work out sometimes!

Two MySpace pet peeves:
Friends on your list that believe that it is absolutely fucking necessary to have one united MySpace page with the significant other. Profile includes photos of them and only them (notice how they have no real friends) and features his and hers About Me paragraphs. Grow a fucking identity.
Friends who spend all day filling out useless surveys to the point where my inbox is clogged with questions like "what did you eat for breakfast this morning?" and "how well do you know your #1 in your Top 4/8/16/20/24?". They're a waste of your time and a waste of my fucking bulletin space. THANKS AND FIND SOMETHING BETTER TO DO.

Add to that people who choose to make a blog/bulletin documenting their every move. So you fed your cat today. Mazal Tov. Do you really feel the need to put that in a blog so all of your friends can know it?

I agree. There's a couple from my high school that have a united page. They detail the chronicles of their life in their blogs and have sappy pictures of themselves all over the page. I just don't get why couples have to do EVERYTHING together including having the same MySpace page. It's MySpace, not UsSpace. Be independent enough to create your own page. For the record, I have my own page. My fiance does not have a page because he calls it GaySpace. Whatever.

Haha - my fiance asked me if I wanted to do a joint myspace and I told him he was crazy. Of course - he JUST recently joined myspace - so he doesnt quite "get it" yet....

I'm not a fan of the joint myspaces either. Seriously is it that difficult to create your own account? And what happens if the wonder couple breaks up and they have to *gasp* get their own pages, I bet that's torture.
I'm also not a fan of getting random messages from creepy guys like this one:
"how ya doing..... i was just on here looking around for friends and seen your profile and i thought maybe we could chat somtime maybe...... i am married but my wife does know i am on here just so u know..... so drop me a line if u would like to maybe we can get to know each other
talk to u soon i hope"
