Yeah so its been 7 months now and the group is still there. I kinda got in on this a little late but wanted ya'll to know Facebook has done nothing about this. It's probably a freedom of speech or whatever as the reason. UGH!

The Tri Sigma one only went down after I talked to the creator of the group. Someone from ASA might have similar luck with this group (or someone from the right network.)

Were they doing something like this, or was it just a bunch of clueless people who were being relatively benign and when they found out there was a real Tri Sigma they were sorry?

I'm afraid talking to anyone in this group would make things a lot worse.

They were just naive and stupid. That's a good point about messaging them, but I'm not sure what they'd do in reaction to a message from someone letting them know that they're in the wrong. Plus if the group's forcibly taken away from them, they can just recreate it. I dunno, it could go either way.

So I went to report the group again, since it's still up, and got a message saying that I can't report it since I already reported it once.

There's a discussion about this on Sister Circle. The best we can do right now is to just keep reporting the group until facebook admins have no choice but to take it down.

You are partly right, however, I have done some further research and Facebook will be getting a phone call from me about this. I'm a founder of my chapter and am a die-hard ASA like all of you but if something of this nature has been going on for 7 months, just talking about is not going to help and contrary to popular belief reporting it via the internet isn't going to help either because it would have been gone by now if internet reporting actually worked. I don't care if I have to talk to the founder of facebook and call him multiple times per day. This site will be gone shortly. I may be over reacting in the opinions of some but a)I have nothing better to do b)Like all of us, I don't appreciate people who know nothing about greek life doing things like this c) I know that I can put a stop to this because I'm VERY persistent in these types of matters so......I will announce it to the GC and Sister Circle worlds when the site is gone. Thank you to all for your support!
