Reality TV Greeks

I have to wonder what nationals thinks of their members actions on some of these reality shows.. for instance, all the drinking and sex that most Real World cast members participate in. It's surprising that they would just ignore it.

When Johanna from the Real World Austin started wearing Gamma Phi letters on camera, Gamma Phi Beta sent members a letter stating she was not a member of the sorority. I think they sent out the letter because her behavior was...less than classy...and some members may have commented on it. She apparently used to be a member, but was no longer at the time the show was airing.

Didn't XO do something similar with Trishelle when her RW aired?

I can't recall Robin ever wearing DG letters, but I know she had her anchor on around her neck most of the time.

IIRC, yes. She was already not a member when she went on the show (wonder why...)

This season on Survivor, Parvati (UGA AOPi) and Adam (VaTech? SAE) haven't done much to counter any stereotypes, that's for sure.

One of the girls who was on Outback Jack a couple of years ago is a Delta Gamma. In one of the episodes they showed pictures of the contestants with family and friends and there's a picture of her wearing a DG shirt.

Thanks SoCalGirl, I knew it was UCLA.

FWIW, Colin and Kaia were the only ones who attended UC-Berkeley. Ruthie started at UH-Manoa, then transferred to Rutgers; Amaya was at UCLA, and Justin (the gay guy who left early) was a Harvard Law Student at the time.

This was the cast we stalked while they filmed here. My friend Mikey Grande was the guy Amaya slept with, the one she went hysterical over because she got dramatic and had to get an STD test. Turns out no one was infected and 7 years, a wife, and two young daughters later...Mikey still gets shit over the Amaya episode.

Funny because white girls aren't even his type. He's a music producer who just wanted to be on TV.

I never saw that episode. Sounds great! Now I wish they'd have some RW marathon of every season.

The guy who won Survivor, Yul Kim is Stanford Lambda Phi Epsilon. He's a great representation of Asian American men and Asian Greeks.

I came across an article that said Cassandra (the Texas pageant girl) on America's next top model is a Tri-Delta from TAMUCC? I'm sure there are a ton of updates with the new crop of reality shows all over!
