I really have not seen to many concerts in Fort Worth besides ones at Billy Bobs. Usually when any kind of big name Texas music/Country/Southern Rock band comes to Fort Worth they play there. Bass Hall maybe a new place.....I've never heard of it. I am sure it is really nice...as it has the name Bass attached to it.

I think REK is there simply because its a holiday type concert. Tickets are about 60 bucks (usually around 30 I think), and the setup is a lot different than a normal Keen show. It'll be interesting, place looks nice.

There was a GREAT editorial in the Spokane newspaper about it, and the writer said we should have a new slogan called "Dennis Happens". The part I found TACKIEST had to be that there were recruits on campus visiting the day he did it. The price of season tickets went up as a result of his hiring, and I can't imagine how many angry bitter alumni are going to not buy tickets or support the program or scholarships.

Congratulations, Troy Smith, the Heisman was well-deserved. Yours is an inspirational story for hundreds of little boys, from similiar backgrounds, trying to come up.
....now put it together Jan. 8.
Signed,
BuckeyeNation

I'm sorry that John Beck, Quarterback at BYU, wasn't at least mentioned (an oversite over the past couple of years on the part of BYU's Sports Information Department) due to lack of publicity -- which is a big part of the Heisman race.

He actually passed for more yards than Troy in 1.5 less games, had the same number of TD tosses and only one more INT. He's a remarkable athlete.

Of course he didn't lead his team to a perfect season, and the schedule they played probably wasn't as hard, but I'm still surprised at no mention at all.

And that's certainly not to take anything away from Smith and Ohio State.

Congrats to Troy Smith and the Buckeye Nation. He did a great job earning that Heisman. What impresses me the most is how well he performs when he knows that his team needs him the most, according to a news article. This shall make for an interesting game on the 8th.

I'm glad my friend Marcus McNeil is finally getting the respect he deserved pre-draft. Mel Kiper is eating his words now...Re-draft articles are saying McNeil might be the 1st overall pick if the draft were held again today, not to mention he got rookie of the month honors and has a great shot at a superbowl ring. He's also up front paving the way for a guy who just broke the TD record.

Kiper lost a lot of credibility with me the other day when he said that Peterson would be the 2nd RB picked in the draft.
