Oh man! I LOOOOOOOOOOOOOOVE violets! I grew them as a little girl. I wish I could have them at my house, but my 2 dogs think they are treats and eat them all.

We have a ton of wild ones in our backyard/park (my house backs up to a city park) But i can't keep green things alive so I don't have a potted one.

Phi Kappa Psi also uses the jacqueminot rose as it's flower.

The Texas flower is the Bluebonnet! I figured that was important because it's Texas.

To be accurate, the flowers of Kappa Alpha Order are "a red rose and magnolia blossom." (Per the Kappa Alpha Laws)

Personally, I like my own chrysanthemums and Ms. MysticCat's irises/fluers-de-lis.
