I am so glad you and your friend are safe - I am also proud of you for yelling! In the self defense classes I have been in, the first thing you are supposed to do in any situation in a PUBLIC place is YELL - Yell loud, use vulgar language...it catches them off guard and usually they will run away, like in your case. All though I know he didnt try to take you away from the situation, this is good advice to everyone. If you are ever in the position where someone wants to take you away from the place you are in - do everything in your power to get away - scream, fight, anything to draw attention to yourself and get the people around you to notice. Most likely they will leave you alone, because they dont want to shoot someone right there in public...and besides think of it this way...you dont want to be taken away because your chances of escaping then, unharmed or even alive are very slim. Again, I am so glad you both are safe!!!
