Rumsfeld quitting as defense secretary
President Bush announced today that Defense Secretary Donald Rumsfeld, architect of an unpopular war in Iraq, is stepping down. Bush said he is nominating former CIA chief Robert Gates, who headed that agency from 1991 until 1993, to become the next secretary of defense.

Daaaaamn!!
I shouldn't be shocked though. I remember hearing that her hubby was a 'serial engager', but he typically never went through with the weddings. It was said that she made it clear to him that she wasn't going for that. However, it just never feels right when you have to give any sort of nudge towards the altar.
