TV One recently announced a comprehensive, multi-year programming agreement with Warner Bros. Domestic Cable Distribution to air popular movies and series -- including staples such as 'Martin' and 'Living Single.' One unique facet of the deal include the rights to air popular sitcoms 'All Of Us,' and 'Eve,' which are currently airing on network television (UPN), and the nationally syndicated variety show 'Showtime at the Apollo.' Other shows slated to air on the two-year old network include 'Wanda At Large,' 'The Parent Hood,' 'All About the Andersons,' 'Fastlane' and 'A Man Called Hawk.' Movies will include classics such as 'The Color Purple,' 'Malcolm X,' 'New Jack City,' 'Purple Rain,' 'Sparkle,' 'Superfly,' 'Shaft,' 'Lean on Me,' 'Krush Groove' and 'Cabin in the Sky.' "We're confident that the addition of feature films, the premieres of off-network comedies, the licensing of proven hits and the renewal of successful staples of their already strong line-up will provide a nice boost to their schedule," said Warner Bros. Domestic Cable Distribution President Eric Frankel. The new line-up of shows will start its initial roll-out this fall.

I enjoy TVOne and I get it through DirecTV. I like the reruns of NY Undercover, Boston Public, 227, etc. I also like Get The Hookup (whenever I remember it's on) I think with this news BET's going to be in trouble....

how does "fastlane" and "boston public" fit in there?

Fastlane featured Bill Bellamy and Boston Public featured Chi McBride. Both played lead characters.

I think TV One is okay especially bringing back some oldies (shows), but sometimes I don't watch it especially with the old school movies. Can't get with the old movies.

We finally got it out here in San Fran. I'm not too thrilled. It's ok but unless they have special programing I wont watch it.

TV One is getting rather tired, IMO. I've seen just about every episode of "Wanda At Large" at least three times. I'm almost to the point where I have everyone's lines memorized. While I thought it was a good show, it only ran for two seasons, I think. It's time for them to move on from the re-re-re-reruns...

They had a good documentary on the Gullah/Geechee culture. I think it came on Saturday. I really had no idea about how rich the language and culture were. I'm sure it will come on again...it's TV One...and two, and three...

I caught the Gullah/Geechee documentary on Sunday afternoon, and I thought it was one of the best pieces of programming TV One has broadcast! I wonder if it will be rebroadcast, or if I could get a DVD of it.
For those who might have missed it, you can check out this link to Wal-Mart's corporate website for more information: http://walmartstores.com/GlobalWMSto...71&contId=5954.
Wal-Mart featured the documentary as a part of its Black History Month "Voices of Color" film series earlier this year.
