Just to side track a bit, and no, I'm talking about you, just in general.
I have a few friends who are mods on another board that is from vBulletin, and they have told me that sometimes the same IP address comes up with a few users, who we know couldn't be the same person since we know them in person. So it depends which region you are from, same IP adresses can show up from different users.

I'm also aware that there is a way to create a dummy IP so people can't track you.

AOL also does this. AOL users don't have an assigned IP. I can also release my IP at any time and accept a new one. Woot corporate network. IPs aren't guaranteed. Behavior... ala certain people.... is.
