Yay for Colorguard...it was so much fun. I did it my first two years, and probably would have continued, except I hurt my knee at a dance audtion and ended up in the Pit (less marching/awkwardness on my knee).

What are your shows this year?

Good for you! I know it is cliche, but everything really does happen for a reason and it looks like you are headed down a great path to a future career and a wonderful college experience.

I was in the colorguard for my first 2 years at UTK and absolutely loved it. College marching band is hugely different from high school, but it's an amazing experience and I'm sure you'll enjoy.

Before I joined they did a show that didnt seem to have a theme really taht anyone could find. It had zorro, when a man loves a woman, and sing sing sing ( the chips ahoy song!)

We did a beach show with Good Vibrations, a beach boys surf medley ft. wipe out(awesome dance feature with the swim, it was so fun), and california girls.

Our last show is a disco show with the hustle (the entire band doing the hustle is priceless), pinball wizard and play that funky music white boy. It should be fun.

We did a show that had Sing, Sing, Sing and Rodeo (from the Beef commercial)...we wanted to get shirts that year that had "Color Guard" in the "Chips Ahoy" logo and "Guard - It's what's for halftime", but we couldn't find anywhere to do them for us.
