I believe Say Yes to the Dress only had a set number of episodes. I really hope they decide to do another season, that show was awesome! I love a show that focuses on one of the most important elements - the dress!

And WTF was up with that see-thru lacey lingerie looking dress that everyone wanted? It was hideous!!!

I know this is off topic, but, I caught a couple episodes of Say Yes to the Dress this weekend and I also thought that dress was hideous and it seemed like in every episode I saw, a woman was trying it on or getting fitted for it! I believe it's a Tournai. The top reminds me of something you'd buy at Frederick's.

Also, for those interested, there will be a new season starting July 15th.

If the brides were sweet, politically correct and loved their future MIL, no one would watch it. It would make for a bad reality series ;-)

I realize that. But what I'm saying is that in the first couple seasons, the weddings being planned were way different than the, well, trailor trash-style stuff of the last couple seasons. I'd be more entertained watching a bridezilla freak out over her micromanaged, ellaborate, expensive affair where everything is supposed to be perfect than I would watching these chicks that just suck at life.

I completely agree, the show has taken nose-dive in terms of the quality of the weddings. I think Andrea (one of the first brides in the last season, the one who made her bridesmaids work out) was the last bride to have a wedding that I'd consider to be worthy of a Bridezilla-esque freak out. It all went downhill after hers.

The rest of them have (to me) just have not been worth ripping off people's heads. It's like WHY are you freaking out? Your tiara is made in Taiwan, your guests are eating on paper plates, and I've seen your gown on 100 other people.

I agree, this was pretty crappy.

Although I do have to say about the first girl (the one with the MIL that hates her), if you are crying and having a fit that you "have $46 in the bank and still have to pay for all this stuff", you need to re-evaluate your priorities. If you only are spending $2,000 between you, maybe you need to wait, or do something more cost effective like Vegas.

She said something like "We can use the money your mom gave you to fix your car." If you have to choose between your fiance having a working vehicle or having a wedding, this is obviously not something you can afford.

I agree about the tacky weddings - but I have gotten a kick out of the Melbourne/Eau Gallie site of the wedding - I spent many happy years there!

Agreed. I realized that like NONE of the fiances on this show ever oppose the women or put them in check (for lack of a better word) for they way they act. Alot of them seem to have no backbone at all. I realize that guys don't get into wedding planning a whole lot, but seriously if your fiance is on camera swearing every 3rd word and treating people like crap, you need to be a man and say something. If I were getting married and acting like that, I would hope my fiance would have the balls to tell me "you need to chill out."

I sometimes wonder what type of relationship they're going to have with women who have such attitudes. Because you know most of them are probably not like that JUST because of the wedding, they're bitchy in everyday life.

I'm willing to bet that while normal people want things to be a certain way for their wedding, they probably don't freak out and swear at any of your vendors or bridal party. Swearing at anyone (like most of these women do) is also rude and classless. I get that these women are paying vendors to do stuff and they should do it, but I was always taught that there's a way to handle issues with companies, which usually doesn't involve swearing, yelling, etc.

Awww It's waiting for me on my DVR and now I'm not as excited about it. I guess I'll just have to watch Greek and be happy with that, lol.

I agree, I was watching the new episode last night and I thought, wow this is boring and these brides suck.

My fiance was funny though-he goes "these girls act like they're having a million dollar wedding, when they're getting married at like the American Legion." It made me laugh.

I think I am in the right place. There is much talk about brides here. I am looking for my bride and my queen.
