I assume you meant "general posting" as in the person will not give specific information about the process and the sorority she in pursuing. However, with the "looking for general information" part, how can people offer general information when there's nothing general about AI other than that it is by invitation-only?

Fair question and I'll give you an example.
I have read alot, where the PNAI don't know who to contact, the local AA of the GLO or their HQ's. I think everyone who is seeking AI has been told to contact the HQ's first because many of the AA's are not aware that their sorority (for the ones that do) does AI or have no idea of how to go about the process.
That is the kind of general information I'm talking about. Things like that.

I totally respect anyone that feels that way Lisa, but if all sororities that do AI felt that way, then they would never answer any non-member inquiries regarding AI. Why would they waste their time?

The point everyone is making is that there is no general information beyond the example you gave. So that's the extent of information anyone can provide: "Contact the organization's HQ". Can you think of any other "general information" questions? So basically we should sticky a thread entitled "Contact HQ with any AI questions" and we would be done with it?

I think that AIs should be able to post questions and such as well. Even if there isn't an AI forum.

This kind of "how to find an organization that will take you as an AI" information is NOT provided by any organization and is exactly the kind of thing that has caused the AI forum to be so contentious.

That was not a personal attack but an honest question since you claim to have read the entire AI sub-forum yet seem unaware of the reasons NPC members do not want GC to provide "how to AI" info for women with no previous ties to or invitation from an organization.

Right so how many times can that general advice be given? That's why we have "so you wanna be an XYZ?" or "no membership inquiry" sticky threads in NPHC forums and certain aspirant threads get closed. There's not much that we are willing to say to these people and what CAN be said has already been said kazillions of times.
