This cleanse is perfectly healthy but with anything you should check with your doctor to m ake sure that YOU are in good health before starting it.
I've done this before (only for 5 days) and I felt ten times better! Some peopple do lose weight but it tells you that this is not intended for weight loss - just cleansing of the body and preparation for a healthy start (some people do this cleanse before starting a vegan lifestlye).

I got very hungry just reading about this cleansing diet last night. I don't think I could live on just liquids. Good Luck.

Your body needs to take in a certain number of calories on a daily basis. This is not healthy and the weight you lose will be gained back+ because you're starving your body and it will slow your metabolism down.
If you want to "purify" your body, go through your pantry and trash the crap. Eat fresh foods and whole grains and exercise.

This "cleanse" will do nothing but put your body into starvation mode! The weight you lose will be water weight and the longer you do it, the more muscle you will lose! In the end this only SLOWS your metabolism. Take adpiucf's advise and trash the crap, not starve yourself. (That IS what you're doing.)

If you've read the thread then you know I don't need to lose weight..I wear a 6....what I do need to do is give my digestive system a break from all the siht I was eating...and it wasn't all junk but the meats, the sugars, whatever...this CLEANSE is not a diet...some use it as that cool whatever, I however was and will be again in the next couple of days cleansing my systems so that my body will then be able to complete functions such as metabolize normally...cleansing your disgestive system along with kidneys and other systems has been attributed to correcting many health issues with this cleanses...many do it quarterly....if you don't agree with it do you...I will however continue to share my experiences with the "interested" GCers...I can say that I never felt that I was starving while cleansing, it was actually the opposite because I am not use to taking in that much liquid in a day...this cleanse has been around for pushing 50 years...its nothing new...the people who have taught me alot about it are the ones who work in the health food store where I shop and these people are your standard earthy raw eating nature freaks...most don't look like bathing on a regular basis is important more less the superficial body imagine BS....

Isn't this kinda like when anorexic people are recovering and they gain a ton of weight and then can't lose it? It's cuz their calorie intake goes down and slows their metabolism.
