Hey guys! Here's the update of how House Tours went for her:

Well that Friday afternoon, she and the rest of her SRC group met at the student center. All the PNMs meet there and take buses to the sorority houses they'll be visiting.

During this round, the sororities give house tours and each sororities' party has a theme (i.e. XYZ and the City). Food is served and there is a slide show or video shown. Dress is church attire or something you'd wear to a wedding.

The busride over to her first party was SO nervewrecking! She couldn't hear herself think over all the girls saying "OMG I can't wait to see the LV house!" or "OMG I so want to go Dior!" It was really annoying.

Anyway, here's the rundown of her 3rd parties:

Louis Vuitton- This was her first of the night. It was so odd because she liked them alot after 2nd party, but today, they just really didn't seem interested in her. The girl who gave her the house tour was someone she hadn't talked to before, and she kept asking her the same kind of basic questions (name/major/dorm/etc). There was a point when they were done with the house tour that the girl just kind of stood there and didn't talk to her, til another sister came up and started talking. The house itself was nice, and the rooms are a nice size, but after tonight, she isn't sure if she sees herself as a sister here.

Dolce & Gabbana- She honestly wasn't initially excited to come back here, since she had felt lukewarm about them the previous 2 days. The first girl who met her at the door was VERY chatty. So much so that she didn't get a chance to ask questions during the house tour (which they went through very fast). The rooms here are kind of crowded, but the layout is nice. The video was okay. She wished she could've actually talked more to these girls. She left here not really knowing if she saw herself here either.

Christian Dior- She was glad she came back here. These girls were friendly to her and the conversation was good. The house had an odd layout and she wasn't sure if she liked it. The video was cute. She had a good time here, but she felt like it was more of a "friendly" good time. When she left here, she said she saw these girls as great friends, but she didn't get "warm fuzzies" here at all. She didn't feel strongly about them as sisters.

Prada- She was SO excited to go back here that she couldn't STOP smiling. She had a great conversation with every girl who rushed her. The theme was adorable. She really enjoyed the house tour. This house was her favorite of the day because of it's unique set up. The video clips and pictures made her CRY. She says she got "that feeling." She left here and she could REALLY see herself as a Prada.

Since 3rd parties are on Friday, the PNMs pick up their Pref invites on Saturday. Preference parties are on Sunday morning and Bid Night is at 6pm that night.

PNMs could only attend 2 sororities for Preference this year, so she was really nervous about possibly having to drop 2 more chapters if they all invited her back. She told me that waiting to see if Prada invited her back was like, the longest 24 hours of her life.

I'll try to update soon about where she went to pref!

I'm back!

Well, 3rd parties are on a Friday, and Preference parties and Bid Night aren't til Sunday. So the PNMs have Saturday to rest and pick up their Pref invites.

She had to wait longer than most. She was in the last group to receive their invites because her SRC couldn't meet with them until 7pm Saturday night, so she was on pins and needles basically ALL day!

Well, when she she opened her invite card, the first thing she noticed was that Prada was not on her list. She started to cry and actually was going to get up, walk out, and just quit recruitment. She asked her SRC in tears what had happened and why they didn't invite her back.

She made it a point to tell me that her SRC was the main reason behind her staying in recruitment. She was truly awesome. When she went to leave, her SRC told her "Hey well look at these other awesome groups who wanted you to come back. They're all great and I'm sure any of them would love to see you back tomorrow. You'd be an asset to any of them. I'll give you all the time you need to think it over."

So my friend said she dried her tears and sat back down to look at her invites.

She was invited to Preference at:

Louis Vuitton
Dolce & Gabbana
Christian Dior

Since PNMs could only return to 2 groups for Preference this year, she had to drop someone. That was a headache since she'd just gotten over being dropped by her favorite but she had no choice.

She remembered sort of liking Dior, so she wanted to keep them. But then she had to decide spot #2. She had a not so good 3rd party at LV, but she liked them every other round. She had been so so about Dolce & Gabbana throughout recruitment. She remembered kind of wanting to see them more.

She decided to Pref:

Christian Dior
Dolce & Gabbana

I'll update sometime this week on how those parties went!
