Until sororities open up "Alumnae Recruitment" AI is not something that should be a sub forum on GC.

Women without sorority ties through family/friends/colleagues should not "pursue" AI until a sorority makes it clear that they are recruiting AI members.

Moved over from other thread:
Quote:
I think women without prior ties should not actively seek AI membership. AI is not recruitment. If a sorority has a program that actively recruits AIs then it becomes recruitment and an activity that this sorority and its members should promote.

I do not think AI should be part of GC sub forums. It gives the appearance that AI is far more common than it really is b/c so many more people surf the internet than ever before... this sub forum makes it appear that AI is part of the natural course of sorority life.

I welcome all of our AI sisters as Panhellenic sisters. I don't care how they came by their membership--clearly their sponsoring associations saw something in them and they're here now. They don't need to prove anything or feel like 2nd class citizens.
