Well ladies, here's the update:

She went to get her invites after 2 days of parties. She said she was so nervous that day, she didn't know what to do with herself!

She was invited back to 5/7 sororities.

She received invites back from:

Prada
Christian Dior
Louis Vuitton
Dolce & Gabbana
Fendi
Gucci

She was a little upset that Chanel didn't invite her back. But she got over it when she realized that she got to go back to PRADA, one of her favorites at this point!

She was pretty excited to go back to LV and Dior since they were very good groups too!

She was reasonably excited about her invitations until she realized that she could only go back to 4. She sat there for awhile, then her SRC told her that she needed to think of who to drop since she had to drop 2.

As bad a she felt, she was for sure dropping Gucci. She just didn't feel comfortable there and didn't want to go back there and waste their time and hers. She knew she wouldn't accept a bid from them if she got one, so there was no point in going back-but she still felt bad.

Well, she was for sure going back to Prada, LV, and Dior.
The one she couldn't decide was #4.

So the #4 spot was between Dolce & Gabbana and Fendi. Just so you know how much she didn't really know who to choose, I'll tell you it took her almost an hour to figure out who to drop.

They were both good groups, but she didn't feel too strongly about either of them the first weekend. She wanted to go back to both to see if either of them grew on her during House Tours. But she had to pick one.

In the end, she dropped Fendi and Gucci.

So she would return to these 4 for 3rd party:

Prada
Louis Vuitton
Christian Dior
Dolce & Gabbana

By this point, she was just getting worn out and wanted it to be next weekend so she could go to the last 2 parties and finally be in a sorority!

I'll update later with how 3rd parties went (House Tours).

jocelyn, i am so glad that things are going well for your friend, and that she was ticked off, not crushed, when she did not get an invite back to one of her top twos. it sounds like she is having a great recruitment. best wishes to her for continued good results!!

Hey guys! Here's the update of how House Tours went for her:

Well that Friday afternoon, she and the rest of her SRC group met at the student center. All the PNMs meet there and take buses to the sorority houses they'll be visiting.

During this round, the sororities give house tours and each sororities' party has a theme (i.e. XYZ and the City). Food is served and there is a slide show or video shown. Dress is church attire or something you'd wear to a wedding.

The busride over to her first party was SO nervewrecking! She couldn't hear herself think over all the girls saying "OMG I can't wait to see the LV house!" or "OMG I so want to go Dior!" It was really annoying.

Anyway, here's the rundown of her 3rd parties:

Louis Vuitton- This was her first of the night. It was so odd because she liked them alot after 2nd party, but today, they just really didn't seem interested in her. The girl who gave her the house tour was someone she hadn't talked to before, and she kept asking her the same kind of basic questions (name/major/dorm/etc). There was a point when they were done with the house tour that the girl just kind of stood there and didn't talk to her, til another sister came up and started talking. The house itself was nice, and the rooms are a nice size, but after tonight, she isn't sure if she sees herself as a sister here.

Dolce & Gabbana- She honestly wasn't initially excited to come back here, since she had felt lukewarm about them the previous 2 days. The first girl who met her at the door was VERY chatty. So much so that she didn't get a chance to ask questions during the house tour (which they went through very fast). The rooms here are kind of crowded, but the layout is nice. The video was okay. She wished she could've actually talked more to these girls. She left here not really knowing if she saw herself here either.

Christian Dior- She was glad she came back here. These girls were friendly to her and the conversation was good. The house had an odd layout and she wasn't sure if she liked it. The video was cute. She had a good time here, but she felt like it was more of a "friendly" good time. When she left here, she said she saw these girls as great friends, but she didn't get "warm fuzzies" here at all. She didn't feel strongly about them as sisters.

Prada- She was SO excited to go back here that she couldn't STOP smiling. She had a great conversation with every girl who rushed her. The theme was adorable. She really enjoyed the house tour. This house was her favorite of the day because of it's unique set up. The video clips and pictures made her CRY. She says she got "that feeling." She left here and she could REALLY see herself as a Prada.

Since 3rd parties are on Friday, the PNMs pick up their Pref invites on Saturday. Preference parties are on Sunday morning and Bid Night is at 6pm that night.

PNMs could only attend 2 sororities for Preference this year, so she was really nervous about possibly having to drop 2 more chapters if they all invited her back. She told me that waiting to see if Prada invited her back was like, the longest 24 hours of her life.

I'll try to update soon about where she went to pref!

I'm going to a football game today so I can't promise you guys anything til maybe tomorrow.
