I'm sooooo sorry to keep you waiting but I rushed home (and am skipping my parent's bday party for me) to tell you that....
I am
a proud
new member
of
CHI OMEGA!!!
At DePaul University!!!
I just want to tell everyone thank you sooo sooo much for all the support, the messages, the lovely things you've said. I was really sad Thursday night but after meeting my new sisters tonight, I feel that this is the best thing I could have done. I'm wearing my letters right now!!!!

Congrats!!
Congrats! I've loved reading your posts. My daughter pledged Chi O a week ago...there were lots of tears...not because she was sad really, but because of the stress of rush! She called tonight and could not be happier!! Needless to say, I've relaxed too. Enjoy your new sisterhood, and I wish you all the best!

CONGRATULATIONS!!!
I was never a colonizing member, but know several people who have been and they were all very pleased with their experiences! You will make a fabuluous new member and sister of Chi-O.

Wow another CW! Chi O is all over GC this fall it seems. Then again, they are the largest NPC sorority. Congratulations and enjoy pledging and all of the opportunities you will have as a founding sister!

Congratulations! Enjoy your experience being a founding member of Chi Omega on your campus!
I have a friend who just started working at DePaul and he loves it. Just thought I'd share.

. I liked the fact that we only talked to one girl because sometimes it gets hard when I talk to 7 and then I forget names.

That comment got me worried - to a PNM, it may seems to come as a relief, but it's actually no service at al. I inadvertantly got a girl cut by doing this to her during my first rush. At the time, we required a certain number of sisters to have met someone before we were allowed to vote on them. I enjoyed this girl's company so much that no one else got to talk to her, and when it came time to vote, there weren't enough sisters who had met her. I'm SURE she thought I had cut her - especially since she had only talked to one person.
Oddly enough, we because friends, and ended up in another membership organization together after college, and she used to tell people "This is LionTamer, who cut me from her sorority in college". On the upside - just like LilLady, she ended up a ChiO and was happy as pie.

I see the reason for your post, but wouldn't this fall under confidential membership selection information?

LT went to school 20+ years ago. This may or may not have changed since then.

Congrats, LilLady! Welcome to the Sisterhood!
My chapter is Pi Zeta at Western Michigan University (I'm an alum now) - just across the lake from you all! Oh, how fun if they do your initiation...though I suppose one of the other IL chapters would make more sense! Like Northwestern since it's so close!!!
Enjoy your new member period!!!
