Deal with it. KKPsi and TBSigma are going to keep doing what we do. The bruh throwing up the Psi like a hook should actually have both hands up with his body forming a Psi. It's not new, it's rather ancient (old school). Many bruhs nowadays don't do it like that (including myself) because it looks too familiar to Omega hooks. Out of respect for my bruhs who are Omega's, I don't do it. As for the KKPsi vs PBS handsign, the only difference is we have the thumb out and they have it in. Simple. We work hard and handle our own. How about you let us do us and y'all do what y'all do? Y'all shouldn't let your insecurities get to you.

Are you kidding me? All that text and other responses, and you want US to not be so insecure??? Mmmmmmhmm. I've spoken to members of PBS, and they notice the similarities, but they let it go. So I don't harbor resentment (wow...I said that the first time).

By now, you know that the GC community notices a lot about our Greek lettered cultures, and we discuss and debate them. We made notice of KKPsi and made observations, but no one is taking it as seriously as you are. Again, let your own insecurities go.

That's why threads like this get so long....doing a lot of unecessary explaining and at the end of the day, real talk, some people are STILL gonna say and think that your org is fake, it's biting off other orgs, etc.

Not an attack on you but chill out. If anybody feel you, I feel you. But I learned a long time ago that it ain't worth it to trip in here off of every little thing...

Sorry, Gamma_girl52, but that's the only real example that I have. I'm not gonna lie about seeing a predominately white chapter of KKPsi because I haven't.

Your words are wise. All Greeks have to deal with some form of criticism and KIM instead of trying to defend it. I'm still learning that to some degree, but I'm not getting into an insult fest over it. I just post my observations.

Well, it's not really my image to post, but I was curious about this whole thing, so I looked up the KKPsi chapter at my undergrad ... here they are, in all their PWI-ness, doing the handsigns ...

I'm with Soul-D-Psi-ple. I started a chapter of KKPsi. It's a group with ties going back over a hundred years. I know other orgs are old, too, but KKPsi isn't new, we're not copying anybody. I'll admit, we're all band members and geeky ones at that but if we're okay with telling everyone that, I think that y'all making fun of it is a little overkill.

Just because you don't respect KKPsi doesn't mean we don't.

The pic is cute and all, but I seriously doubt that 30 years ago the KKPsi's at Tech were sitting around and said "Hey, we need a handsign!". More than likely they saw another chapter (most likely a HBCU chapter) doing it and adopted it. Still seems like imitation to me.

It is all good. I had to learn that lesson the hard way, not just on GC but on other boards too. It's fine for other Greeks to observe or say how they feel, I actually encourage that. But it's another thing to go back and forth tryin to explain all of the time. I don't do that anymore. I still know Gamma Sigs who will wear a thread like this OUT. I have had to tell them to chill out.

And I'd also have to laugh at "PWI-ness"

but ok...now that the GA Tech pic is up that ought to squash that.
