Lol,
I thought of that the second I posted it. I'm not wearing their colors. I found out that its not formal and since I have class on the 12th floor (no way I am walking up 12 flights in heels) I'm going in a nicer pair of jeans and a shirt. Gracias for the tips!

12 flights?! Wow. By senior year, everyone at your school must have great leg muscles.

IT's a chapter that is colonizing, hence from what I take, they are doing interviews before they decide who t invite for pref so they cna meet hte women one on one and ask and questions..while hte national can decide if these women are the oens they want as founders

Thanks, Buttonz, just went back and re-read that one is a colony.
LilLady, I hope you take into account the potentially extra-special experience you would get out of helping to colonize a chapter. I was in the first initiated pledge class of my chapter, and it was very cool. Not a lot of people get to do that.

She indicated that it's a colony, so that could have something to do with it. They probably want to make sure that all of the members know the amount of work that goes into a colony before they go ahead and pref them.

she said she's not walking up 12 flights in heels, that implies no elevator involvement

Yes, but they can always make it keyed, and only give keys to faculty and those who need ADA access.

Oh, I'm sorry! I walk up the stairs of the downtown building because I always do it as exercise. There are elevators in the building, I just don't use them because I like to do some walking. Oh, but yeah, the interview is for a colony. They have this one on one session with you since the girls who join this quarter will be founders. I hope it goes well!

Either my school doesn't comply or there are circumstances which allow some buildings not to have elevators. There's a building on my alma mater's campus that, to this day, doesn't have any elevators. There's a handicap ramp and a handicap accessible bathroom on the first floor where the conference rooms are. But, that's it for ADA-compliance (in that building, anyway).
...end hijack...

If a building is over a certain # of years old, and it was built before ADA requirments and it would ruin the building to put in elevators and the like, they don't have to have them...there is a movie theater by me like that, and while I love the theater, it is a pain in the neck.
