				Opinions on new facebook feature

Myspace is my new addiction. I haven't been on the facebook in like a month. Yesterday, I decided to log in to see what's up. I noticed there is the new "News Feed".
What's funny was reading the comments on my news feed...
 "facebook has become big-brother"
"I hate that facebook is putting out all of my business for everyone to see"
"the facebook has lost it's mind"
"man, this thing is creepy now!"

I actually like the new feature and will be checking the site more often again.

Do you think facebook has gone too far?

Terrible, I haven't heard on person who actually likes it. We were discussing it at rush practice yesterday, we all think it's just gone way too far. It takes stalking to the next level.

I knew that once they added that "put your blog here" feature..it was all downhill from there.
It really looks like Facebook threw up and I don't like it. It's like they're telling us, "Not a stalker? OMG we'll make you one!!!"

And I don't know of anyone who likes this new feed feature. |

I hate it. I don't need to know what my friends' friends wrote on their walls.
A side note, we recently found out that our rho chi is not allowed to have the position this semester because the school screwed up and put a picture of her wearing letters in the school calendar. So the girls voted in a new rho chi and she took the sorority out of her profile. However, thanks to the new facebook "features," it still shows on her profile that she left the group, which completely defeats the purpose of being disafilliated.

I think it's creepy and obnoxious. It just spits a ton of random information at you at once...

Basically there's a new "news feed" that informs you of your friends' activities:

Suzy changed her status from In A Relationship to It's Complicated

Mike left the Two Tissues and a Spoon are better than my President group

Talulah changed her default picture.

Heather is on psychotropical vacation (TM Jules).

Stuff like that. If you have 239048203482394 friends, your home page is filled with that crap.

			I don't dislike it.
All facebook did was streamline the info that was previously three clicks away. If people are afraid of being stalked, they:

 1) Shouldn't be on a social networking site.
 2) Shouldn't put private information on a social networking site.

If you were going to be stalked, like seriously, criminally stalked, the addition of feeds would be irrelevant.

In one of the many new complaint groups someone said that other people's news feeds show a friend request she rejected! But what bothers me most is that they are sending out a cookie-cutter response to everyone's e-mails, which is the same as ignoring them. It basically says that once we get used to it, we will like it....Right.

Just a heads up...you can keep your own mini-feeds from displaying on your profile by clicking on the black "x." However, they oftentimes still show up on other people's news pages/home pages, so it doesn't do that much good

I'm not on facebook and don't have my on myspace account. What's the difference between the two? They sound more or less similar.

My #1 problem with the new facebook feature is that I don't want to see what my friends say on thier friends walls.
My like the pictures, stauts updates, etc though
