I think there are a few threads about this "differences and similarities" topic already.

I can't definitively say that BGLOs do more for "the community." We service communities as a whole but our main focus is the "black community." Therefore our efforts in particular communities are under a microscope whereas others' efforts are often overlooked by us. But I've seen what (mostly undergraduate) IFC and NPC members do in "the community" (including the "black community") and I commend them because they are doing what they should be doing. I think the difference may also be varied levels of visibility at the undergrad and graduate levels in many locales.
