The only solution is to get pregnant. My mom gained a half a size for every two kids.
/Can't believe I just advocated pregnancy as a way to increase your shoe size

AlphaFrog- the ones I have are even more discrete (sp?) than that, because all stitches are black just like the shoes and thus do not show. If I wear them with black trouser socks and black pants, somebody who is not looking closely has no way to know the style of shoes I am wearing.
LouisaMay- I bought a lovely pair of flats that work well for business at Sears about a week ago. They were on sale for about 40 dollars (if that).

And speaking of paychecks, my raise went through today!

 | I'm surprised that Sears has shoes that cost more than $40. And congrats on the raise!

I never understood why Mudd and Skechers cost as much as they do seeing as they're pretty darn ugly and most of their shoes aren't even real leather.

Sketchers had some cute shoes back in 2000 or so for highschool students. (Actually, I remember getting a nice purple leather pair of tennis shoes in 2001, but those were for gym/practice type stuff...) They've tried to branch out to the adult audience, and I don't think it's worked.

Their lug sole boots were the shit my freshman year of high school. After that, everyone pretty much stopped wearing them. Never even owned a pair back them. And oh yea, in 5th grade, they were really popular because they made patent leater sneakers with a white rubber heel that every one just had to have.

ok, I LOVE shoes like everyone else, however I am balance-challenged in this dept. I can manage a kitten heel and this is only for a couple of hours. After that my feel (at the ball) start to hurt or I find myself starting to teeter. Can anyone offer any words of wisdom about how I can achieve better balance with a higher heel…I know a wider heel would help, but I really would like to be able to wear stilettos once in my life.

Have you tried those massaging gel insoles? I got ones that you put in your shoes where the balls of your feet are, and after standing up for about 2.5 hours in 3.5" stilettos, my feet were fine.
