you do know that most of those aid will also benefit many American companies. When they give aid for a bridge, guess who will be the contractor and who will supply the materials. When food aid is given to Africa, guess which industry will benefit the most. Aid is not given purely because it's a nice thing to do, it's also done to subsidies industry in the US and for geopolitical reasons.
