Talking Delta Gamma wedding!!

I am a Delta Gamma ( Delta Sigma Auburn) and want to incorporate DG in my wedding/reception next summer. I have three beauitful DG sisters as bridesmaids! Does anyone have any precious ideas?

Here are some things that I have heard/seen...

> Have your big (or little) sister make your garter. When my mom was married, she had a DG garter.

> Have your sisters form a friendship circle at the reception and sing "Dream Girl"

> Use cream colored roses wherever possible!

> Wear your badge on your corsett under your dress (over your heart).

I've always wanted to put pink and blue ribbons on the pew and reserve them for all Delta Gammas. Then again, now I think I'm going to do a destination wedding (if I ever get married, that is!)

Line up like they do in the Navy and as she and her new hubby are leaving the reception, sing Anchors Aweigh...while tossing the rice, of course.

My first little just called me last week to ask me if I'll be at her beach wedding next year in Nags Head! Of course I said YES!!! I'm so excited for her!

Thats just one of the many DG weddings to attend in the next two years. I have one that I'm in in October, another one to go to in September, my 4th littles next August that I'm also in, and now Laura's probably next September. It'll be fun!!!

Talking

I know that I am a little late and I am also a first time poster to GC, but I had to respond to this topic. I don't think that I am offering any new ideas, but I LOVE weddings...

Aside from my best pledge sis being my maid of honor, when I got married, I carried a complete bouquet of cream colored roses - the actual Delta Gamma Rose was difficult to find for some reason, but the cream colored ones carried the same meaning for me. I also had centerpieces made of cream colored (and pink) roses at our reception. My big and little did readings at the wedding, also

My sisters (most of my chapter was in attendance) did a song circle and sang "Delta Gamma Man" to my husband and "When You Go Away to College" - it was really moving... my husband is an SAE and his chapter sang "Violets" also.

Good luck planning
