Lightbulb Well...

I can tell you what's not cute:

1. Naming your child after a city, state, or country (with the exception of places that are named after people or based off of a real name...like Alexandria or Victoria).

*I have a personal biased against this because many porn stars have names that are also countries. Please don't ask how I came across that fact...

2. Naming your child after a body part.

3. Naming your child after drink (with the exception of 'Brandy').

4. Naming your child after a fabric or other material/substance.

5. Naming your child after a brand of clothing (even if it IS already a person's name like Ralph Lauren or Michael Kors)!

6. Naming your child after a car (with the exception of Porsche).

7. Naming your child after a day, time, or number.

8. Naming your child something that is associated with a negative person or occurrence.

9. Naming your child after a dance style.

Naming a child is difficult because their name might not suit them in adulthood. Plus, certain names are associated with certain types of people. Some names conjure certain thoughts and stereotypes in people's minds.

If you were looking for a lawyer and I recommended a woman named Chyna and a woman named Ruth, which woman would you call first?

Would you rather go on a blind date with a guy named Todd or a guy named Shemar?

What picture does the named 'Dawn' bring?

What about 'Greta'?

David and Sherman. Who's the wimp, who's the he-man?

Where does someone named Shakila come from? Some people think 'ghetto', others think 'Arab'.

Just a thought...
