The "right thing to say" is in the eye of the beholder. Everyone has their own opinion and granted, not everyone can accept that fact, but that's part of what being an American is. Isn't part of the Bill of Rights an amendment on the freedom of speech?
And boycotting someone because they have a different opinion isn't going to solve anything.
And just for the record, I fully support the Dixie Chicks and what they said. I agree with PhiMuAmberkins- I support the actual troops, not the reason they are fighting in the first place.
