I do understand that sometimes it seems that groups can't "win for losing" but that's life. There will always be something for someone to complain about. Can't please everyone. Like you said, it doesn't matter as long as there's membership and things are well.
And again it's HBCU--not because leaving the "U" out is offensive but because you want to be sure to include the "Universities" (like NC A&T and Howard) that are originally included in the acronym.
