While I've been involved in an online relationship or two, I have to say that out of all the forums I've been on, I've never felt the inclination to date anyone from them.

Probably because there isn't the quasi-real-time interaction that you get with other online mediums so there's that sense of ultimate detachment there.

Bumped for PrettyBoy, cheerfulgreek, and christiangirl.

Also for OTW, but for different reasons.

lol.

Meeting someone from GC was never my intentions. Really, it wasn't. I've always said I would never meet up with anyone online, but like the saying goes never say never. This is the 1st and only chatline I've been on. I thought meeting someone from the same place would be cool, I just didn't know I would be attracted to him in that way. It's SO wierd. I started off on here as a guest. I went from being a guest to a member, from debating, to chatting, from phone conversations, to long phone conversations, to actually meeting and hanging out.

There's so much more to come too.

You've done that so many times on here that I feel like I can see your face and it's making me ROTFLMAO (quiz:let's see if you still remember what that means)

Ahhh, there's nothing wrong with a healthy online crush. PB sounds awesome; I'd definitely date him if he was "real." He and I have similar family backgrounds, love some of the same things, feel the same on a lot of issues, etc. He seriously sounds like a long-term deal, and I'm more than happy to meet a guy like him. Long nights sitting in dark bookstore corners---mmmmm, romantic! Unfortunately for me, I drink liquor on occasion and have a small tattoo. Darn--I guess I'll go shoot my eye out. ()

OMG! lol Yes! Of course I'm talking about you. Who else would I be talking about?

There's so much more to come? I'm glad I lost ya. (you and your blank stares ) I guess I shouldn't have mentioned that. That's something I need to talk to you about next time I see you. o.k.?

Right now just know that you're the best!

I guess it's my turn.

christiangirl: I had no clue CG had been a member on here for a while now. I had never seen any of her post until recently. She seems to be really cool. Very funny, and I love laughing. We've PMd each other a lot and I would always look foward to getting PMs from her, because I knew she was going to make me laugh. She seems to be very intelligent, and very secure with herself. Based on the way she described herself, I'm sure she looks good too. She even said she has pretty feet. I've never met her in person, but she definitely seems like a person I would hang out with. She seems to be a nerd like me. Any woman who thinks Borders is romantic is awesome. No, it's not the falls but it's a start.

cheerfulgreek: At 1st when she started posting on here, she hated my guts. I used to tease her so much to the point once I knew I was getting under her skin, I would follow her around this message board just to give her a hard time. We started getting cool after she took my advice on a guy she was trying to avoid. Then I found out we were from the same city. She wanted to exchange e-mails and phone numbers, so I did. She e-mailed me a picture, then we agreed to meet up. At 1st I thought she wasn't going to show up because on the phone she sounded leery about the whole thing. Well, when I did meet her, whalla, there she was a real life cyber girl in person. I was like wow, she's alive! I figured she would be attractive based on the way her voice sounded. I don't know why, she just has a really nice voice. When I saw her , I thought she was FINE. I'm still surprised she's single to be that attractive. She's very silly like me, so we get along great. She's also secure with who she is, and seems to be intelligent.

For me, I've never been a fan of cyber dating, and I'm still not, but it's to the point now, that I've been dating so many women that are totally not my type, that I may not have a choice unless I want to stay single. If I did get involved with a cyber girl, I would never tell anyone where I met her. I would say we met at Borders.
