1. I looked at grades. These were very important to me...especially since our Founders took education very skeeriously!
2. Participation in Campus Activities/Organizations -- As soon as the semester started, me and my Ls's (stole that from someone...we simply said the entire phrase) would try to look at ladies that worked on campus prior to expressing their interest. You have to be aware of those 'ulterior motives' participates -- people who express their interest...get involved on campus in different organizations/activities so 'we' can see them. And when they get into the organization, they don't do anything and we wonder why when they were so involved before Alpha Kappa Alpha...hmmmm
3. Participation/Representation at our events -- enough said!
4. The way the person carries herself and how she gets along with others on campus.
5. How this person gets along with my Sorors -- enough said!
6. Whether this person is willing to make the life-long comittment, financially as well as time wise to the sorority. This is hard to examine; however, there are some people you know will not be active after undergrad.......
I think that's all for now!
