for this being a sorta old thread, and cause im bored ill share some stuff i recently found out. No clue if anyone had posted this yet, cause theres like 40+ posts on this thread so here it is:

During the Red Scare that happened in the U.S., the U.S. Govt. had feared that communist ideas and beliefs could be the foundation for a fraternity to build on. On that note, the govt. had sent out a message to every NonPanehilic fraternity and every Panahilic Fraternity (i suck at spelling) to turn in their ritual book in order for the Govt. to know if they actually had communist beliefs, the fraternities asked were those founded before/during the red scare. Every fraternity ritual is now located in the Library of Congress all one must do is ask for it, EXCEPT for TWO Fraternities.
1. as you may guess is ours, TKE's ritual book was taken out by Ronald Reagon during his administration.
2. Sigma Chi (i've heard) was taken out also by Glover Cleveland during his administration.

So..Not only do schools usually not like fraternities, neither did the govt. at one point.
