I also got an Alumnae Panhellenic [re]started (An old one had disbanded around 1990.). While it's great if there is an active collegiate chapter around, as there is more of a chance that there will then be Alumnae around, that isn't always indicative of how involved people will be in an Alumnae Panhellenic. Sometimes people without a Chapter will be more involved b/c they don't have Advisor duties or a lot of Alumnae Group stuff to do.

The main problem I see is getting people to run for Alum. Pan. Exec. Offices. Our Alum. Pan. is basically run where if your Mem. Group (Sorority) joins (pays dues) then EVERYONE from that Group is considered a Member. That Group picks a delegate, alt., etc., so we'll know who is supposed to vote for them and pass along info, but people tend to think that only those people are Members and don't take a real interest in the Alum. Pan.
